Blossom Speech & Language Therapy is a pediatric speech and language therapy practice located in Boca Raton, Florida. We value children and their families and are determined to provide high quality therapy for the best outcomes for your child. We are committed to helping each child reach their full potential and achieve their communication goals through individualized and personalized care.

 

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed, and we are passionate about providing the support and resources they need to do so. We work closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need to succeed.

We are dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the field of speech and language therapy. We believe that ongoing education and training are essential for providing the highest quality care and improving outcomes for our clients.

Our mission is to provide exceptional speech and language services by experienced, dedicated, and passionate speech language pathologists in order to support children and their families. We strive to provide compassionate care and a nurturing environment in order to empower children to communicate effectively, build meaningful relationships, and achieve success in all aspects of their lives. We are proud to provide high quality and effective therapy to support children in their development and blossom into their full potential, with an emphasis on functional outcomes.

Mallory Boyd, M.S., CCC-SLP is a highly skilled and experienced speech-language pathologist with a passion for early intervention. As the founder and owner of Blossom Speech & Language Therapy, Mallory brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is state licensed in Florida and is Hanen More Than Words® certified.

After an array of diverse work experiences, Mallory found her love for private practice and a deep passion working with the early intervention through preschool age populations. With over a decade of experience in the field, Mallory has acquired a strong and specific skillset working with late talking toddlers, speech delays, speech sound disorders, language delays/disorders, autism, and implementing child led, play based therapy.

 

Throughout her career, Mallory has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. She is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the field and is constantly seeking new ways to improve her practice. In addition to her clinical work, Mallory also serves as a mentor and supervisor to aspiring SLP graduate students and stated licensed speech language pathologist assistants.

Mallory's passion for pediatric therapy and early intervention is evident in all aspects of her work.  She works closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each child receives the individualized care and attention they need to thrive.

Mallory earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University and has since gained experience working with both pediatric and adult populations in a variety of settings. These include working in local hospital systems in outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with premature infants. She has also worked in preschools, daycares, private clinics, hippotherapy, and private and public school settings.

Emily Barker, M.S., CF-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Emily Barker, M.S., CF-SLP is a compassionate and dedicated speech pathologist currently in her clinical fellowship year. Emily received her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida and earned her masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Florida Atlantic University. Emily is committed to fostering supportive, fun, and effective therapy environments where children feel safe and encouraged to grow. Her approach is patient-centered, and she believes in building strong connections with each child to help them reach their communication goals. â€‹

Erin Fryer, B.S., SLP-A

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Erin Fryer, B.S., SLP-A is a licensed speech language pathologist assistant in the state of Florida with a rich academic background and dedication to supporting individuals with diverse communication needs. She earned her bachelor's degree in Human and Social Development and Psychology, along with an Independent Minor in Deaf and Disability Studies from the University of Miami. Following her undergraduate studies, Erin completed her post-baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida. Her comprehensive education and hands-on experience equip her to bring empathy, skill, and a holistic approach to her practice, where she strives to make a meaningful difference in each client's life.

Karissa Ziegelmann B.S., SLP-A

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Karissa Ziegelmann B.S., SLP-A is an enthusiastic and dedicated speech language pathologist assistant who is state licensed in Florida. Karissa earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida and with a background in speech and language therapy, she approaches each session with patience, creativity, and a personalized touch, ensuring her clients feel supported and motivated. Her warmth and commitment create an environment where children feel valued and supported. Karissa’s dedication goes beyond just meeting goals; she strives to build confidence and inspire progress.

Elisa Garcia, B.S.

Administrative Assistant

Elisa is our wonderful administrative assistant who is an integral part of our practice. Elisa earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing and Diploma in Corporate Finance from the Universidad Jose Antonio Páez in Venezuela. She has extensive experience in staff and office management and brings a wealth of knowledge and insight. Elisa is the backbone of our team, seamlessly managing the essential operations that keep everything running smoothly. With her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach, she coordinates scheduling, handles insurance, manages benefits, and ensures all the behind-the-scenes processes are covered. 

Erin brings a genuine passion and skill for helping late-talking toddlers and addressing speech sound disorders. Her dedication to supporting young children in finding their voices makes her an invaluable part of our team, as she approaches each session with patience, skill, and a warm, encouraging presence. She is a trusted member of our team and her clients adore her. She keeps her therapy fun and engaging with her upbeat and positive personality. 

Emily brings a unique and invaluable perspective to our team as she understands firsthand the impact that communication challenges can have on both individuals and their families. This has given her a deep empathy and insight into the support that clients and families need throughout the therapy process. Emily’s multifaceted view allows her to connect on a personal level with families, making her a wonderful asset to our team. Emily has experience working with a variety of speech and language disorders across children of all ages and loves the early intervention population. 

Karissa approaches each child with kindness and a commitment to making their therapy experience positive and empowering. Her ability to connect with young children helps them feel comfortable and motivated, fostering an environment where they can make meaningful progress. She loves working with children of all ages and her dedication to helping children communicate makes her a treasured member of our team. 

Elisa’s reliability and supportive nature make her a trusted resource for both our clients and team members. She brings a warm, personable touch to her role, going above and beyond to make everyone feel taken care of. Elisa is truly a highly valued asset, and we are grateful to have her dedicated expertise and incredible support on our team.
